A Bit Of News From Dalbeattie

http://www.gallowaygazette.com/ViewArticle2.aspx?SectionID=2625&ArticleID=1629376

My old stomping ground several years ago....

It is a very good article... I find it interesting to see how far people come [not just in Dalbeattie but in the world]

only too stand and see how far they still have to go...

It really makes you think ... or at least it does me anyway..

I sure hope that some people start thinking about your homjetown, Wills. Someone in Dumfires needs to WAKE UP!

It is interesting how things have changed over the years yes?

Hello Lightoller,

Yes I too feel the same way. Perhaps people will pull together and do something about it. I hope that Dalbeattie doesn't disappear. That would be devastating to me . Same as it was for the harbour drying up.. I cried for a long time about that. Today it still upsets me.

It was such a beautifull place to hang out at.

It is sad to think that a few miles makes a larger difference in that towne. I just can not imagine Dalbeattie in such shape.

Greetings,
I like to think Dumbarton isn't in sad shape as it was good when I was growing up, but I am sure that other than the castle being maintained, it is probably in sad shape also. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.

Due to the Murdochs...don't they realize that tourism should be the biggest most important draw there, being for your hometown? And you are their biggest most important asset, when it comes to us Titanic-otics whom are William McMaster Murdoch lovers whom want to come there to see where he was born, raised, schooled, as well as visiting his favorite hangouts.

Dalbeattie also needs restaurants and cafes, as well as dentist offices and other necessities too. Right?
