Re: Palnakie scotland
Will & Robert, there's still yet another place to check out as well too. And that is GenForum.com, by simply typing in its name into the Yahoo! search engine and pressing your key board's [ENTER] key. Then click on the #1 entry. Then once you're there, you may have to log on to that site before you can post any quiries into your present life surname, once you've found it.
And Will, you may have to give your Mom a call to see how much she knows about your grandparents, gt. grandparents, etc. What you need, are their all too important vital stats; such as birthdates, wedding dates, death dates, etc. It is also important to use the maiden names of your grand/gt. grandmothers' names as well.
Hope that helps?
Ada

Re: Palnakie scotland
Greetings,
On my father's father's line through on my great grandparents, have full names, birth dates, marriage date, death dates, birth place, marriage place, and death place and the searches say no such persons exists, although verifies on siblings. It is frustrating. Maybe someday I will go get their birth certificates, I thought maybe it is hard because my great grandma was Native American, but even my great grandfather is difficult and there is no Native American on him either. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.

Check the nearest LDS Family History Center (that's the Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints/Mormon Church) in your area. One does not need to be a member of their faith, to conduct research on your Family Tree. Their above centers are only there to assist you with their help. They have all kinds of interesting files and stuff with which to help you...and they can also help you get directly in contact with the *big* SLC, UT Family History Center as well too.
Good luck!

Re: Palnakie scotland
Greetings,
Already checked, no such people exists in their database, so still no luck there. I have been searching for more than 10 years now and thinking maybe a birth certificate is the only way now. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.
