That was indeed lovely, Bess...I have always felt a pull at my heartstrings every time I think of little Lorraine...so much promise and brightness...gone for a time but not forgotten.

Re: a poem i wrote about Loraine Allison

I have another. i do try but i should really listen to what what my english lit teacher told me...i'm no good at this stuff lol

here:

thrashing, in freezing water, which cuts like a knife,
every man, woman and child struggles for their life
survivors watch from tiny emoticon, they see their lovers die
the ship, they said was unsinkable, which surely was a lie

as each soul rose and left this world, an angel in heaven was gained
loved ones cried and greived their loss, for in their hearts it rained
forever they felt the guilt of living, and prayed for those who died
there werent enough lifeemoticon for all, a fact which was denied

Titanic, the great ship of dreams, and her victims have now gone
but the love, sadness and most importantly - the memory will live on

Those poems are lovely. The one about Loraine is particularly touching and is obviously heartfelt
