Men of Titanic

I don't really know if this poem makes sense. i wrote it a while back... but here goes

"I'll pray for you Darling!!!"
the crying women say
in their tiny emoticon they go away
they leave their men alone to die
on a sinking ship, under a dark sky

Each man stood and waited his fate
to live inside heavens gate
a noble nod and a polite smile
rich and poor wait for awhile

suddenly thier time arrives
they have no time to say good byes
fear in their hearts like no-one knows
those men of Titanic ~ My heroes

It is hard to imagine the awful realization that they were never going to see their loved ones again. How they coped I have no idea. How do you tell your children? How long before you truly realize the truth?
it's chilling if thought of deeply.
