I can smell winter coming
I can smell the winter coming
It’s stretching out its hand.
It will cling on to the life that the earth and plants contain
And hold them until spring comes and sets them free again.
But our lives go on whatever season we do have
We keep on doing all the things we usually do.
Maybe we wear extra clothing to keep cold and wet at bay
And some of us do mourn the passing of the longer summer day.
We have different things to live for and some things don’t make sense
But when things are good, for me the summer does come hence.
The sun the warmth the feeling of all is well, are there for me, within summers scope
It is life’s summers that give me the greatest hope.

i miss your stories and poems that you write.. havent seen you here much. 
anyways it is strange that some people can actually smell winter comming and i am one of them . you can definately feel it too... tis very strange how things go .

Great well written poem there, Foxes! 
We're feeling the effects of the Arctic Blast even way down here in the Grand Canyon State of Arizona. Our temps now are around the lower 40s. Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!
