The Anchor Holds

This is one of my many favorite Ray Boltz songs, that I would like to share with you...it's titled:

The Anchor Holds

I have journeyed
Thru' the long dark night
Out in the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were
Watching me

Chorus
The anchor holds
Tho' the ships been battered
The anchor holds
Tho' the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I face life's raging sea
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I've had visions
I've had dreams
I've even held
Them in my hand
But I never knew
That they could slip right thru'
Like they were only grains of sand.

I have been young
But am older now
And there has been beauty
These eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Thru' the storms of my life
O, that's when God proved His love to me.

[REPEAT CHORUS ONCE TAG
I have fallen on my knees
As I face life's raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

"The Anchor Holds" is Will's favorite song too. With me, he watched Ray perform that beautiful song on TBN. He certainly is an awesome singer! I too, love all his songs.

"Through It All", another one of my favorite songs of Ray's, for which I had posted over on TDTSC under Will's original thread, was bashed/or misinterpreted. Here is an excerpt from it:

I thank God for the mountains,
And I thank Him for the valleys,
I thank Him for the storms
He brought me through;
For if I'd never had a problem
I wouldn't know that he could solve them,
I'd never know what faith in God could do.

Chorus:
Through it all, through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God;
Through it all, through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His word.

Don't you think it's beautiful too? And, who, may I ask is Malcolm? He's one lucky chap, to have been able to go see one of my favorite gospel singers perform in a live concert. Good for him!

Greetings,
It isn't a religious song though. Do you want the words to it? It talks about emoticon, that is why I asked. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.
