My heart still hurts..

Today I went into a store...
A store for you and me,
others were there ..yes,
but you were not.
For you are still pulling at my heart.
I feel terrible that GOOD-BYE was never said.

I saw you again , just 'round the corner.
I run to try to see ,
why from me you were running.
Once there ..it was not you .
It was just another ghostly image
that my heart had created.
I saw your face on ina place..
I thought I was ready
ready..to move on
but I guess not. My heart aches like
something terrible...
Though it has been
 more then a month
 since your passing..My heart
still listens for the faintest
 sound of your paws on the steps...
Each night I lay awake
and cry . Please help me find
something to ease my
hearts pain. For more of this
I'M afraid I can't take. I have
 never felt so lonely
 as I do now... Without you .
my life will never be the same.
Even though I know in heaven is
where you have gone...
it is here with me that I wish you were..

I thought I could move on
..even just a bit..
but everytime .
.of you I think..is when I cry.
Today I walked the same
stairs, on which
we use to set and talk .
Your dishes still there .
a gentle reminder of a friend ..
for which we still care.Is this the end?
 I wish I knew...For it is you
that I miss. no from me to you
 there will never be another friend like you .

That's very beautiful but sad poem about your dog(?), is it? Thank you for sharing it with us.

Soon after losing King, when I was used to live over in Granada Hills, CA...I was sitting in a chair at our kitchen table. As I sat there, I heard what I thought might be the jingling of the dog tags hanging on his collar. Could be, King in his spirit form, temporarily returned to me to bid me farewell. emoticon

Did your dog do that too?

2 weeks and 2 days after he passed away a lady that i work with ..her dog had 11 puppies.. i asked her what kind of dogs were they and she said...... emoticon

they were full blooded labs... i said YESSSSSSS!!!!!!

Do you have a solid black one? she said yes..so she is holding him for me.. untill he is weened..i asked lights to keep him at his apartment untill I can move to another place that i can have animals at..

he said yes....

i just hope that it isn't too soon... she keeps me posted and said the other day that he was the biggest of them all and he will easily be 150 pounds.... i cant waite to hold him .. even though he isnt big d at least i will have something ....to help ease the pain of loosing him..

i am glad you liked the poem ...er..story whichever..

I'm happy for you too, Will...that you're getting another Black Labrado Retriever. The Van Impes did the very same thing you're doing, when they got themselves another cat...a cat they promptly named Fenica II, after their first cat.

As for me, no other dog in the world will ever take King's place in my heart. That's why I've never replaced him with another dog in my life.
