Thank you, Wills, for sharing that beautiful poem with us. Biggy D is simply gorgeous! Is/was he a Black Labrador Retriever?

As I was reading it it hit an emotional cord with me...for I too, lost my best friend, King, my Lassie lookalike, that very same way. Like you, I felt a deep attachment to him, and to this very day I still miss him. For me, no other dog could ever replace him in my heart.

Did you know that the story of how I lost King made its way to the writers (specifically Michael Landon who played Pa) of Little House on the Prairie...which later played itself out in a storyline involving Laura Ingalls (Melissa Gilbert) and her beloved pet, Jack? How my story became all apart of this storyline, began with the standby studio nurse of my late Mom's friend who helped us transport King to our vet's office.

At the time we took King to the Vet, I was in complete shock, and couldn't conjure up any emotions. But when that particular episode of Little House aired, it was when I openly wept right along with Laura over the loss of my own beloved pet. That was the turning point for me.

Greetings,
When I lost my first dog I went to pieces, I blamed myself for her death as I didn't get a second opinion until it was too later and she only lived a couple of months after that. I mean I still miss my dog and she has been gone now 6 years. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.

Yes they get a hold of your heart and refuse to loet go. However in a way as long as we remember them they are never really gone completely just in a better place where they do not hurt anymore. I mean his heart must have been hurting very very badly . I wish I would have known then we could have helped in some way . However God wanted him with him so all I can do is waite till we are reunited.

Greetings,
I guess, but doesn't alleviate the pain that I caught my dog's medical condition too late to really do anything. I wish I had gotten the second opinion earlier. Thanks for listening. TTYL, Laters.
