Current Projects
So, it's a while since we've had an update on what everyone is working on.
I'm still working on the rewrite of The Seventh Crow. My goal was to have it finished by the end of January, but then I came down with a sinus infection and it proved very hard to shake. I was back to the doctor yesterday and now have a second round of antibiotics. So now my self-imposed deadline is the end of February. I'm in the midst of a complete line edit now, and then I will be passing it along to a reader for feedback.
Chime in, everyone!

Re: Current Projects
This month, writing a short story about an artificial human, for a project already approved by a publisher.
And I really, desperately need to finish my YA novel for a competition with a deadline end of March. I fear I won't make it.
I addition, I'll write a crit every week for the next three months, for an anthology project that I run myself.
My. That looks busy.

Re: Current Projects
oh my..where to start...LOL
My main project is what I call LandStar Legends. This is a two book series, first is being called Reunited, second is Betrayal. It's my main Fantasy project right now. I also have one called How To Get Through the Night, which is a more real-life type of a girl who ends up half living on the streets as a prostitute, etc. I also have several old Romance novels I do plan on finishing one day, several mainly ideas of Fantasy novels that don't really have names, and a couple more real-life types as well....
I unfortunately will go through phases and get like 5 or more wicked ideas at once and will jot them down and sometimes work on them a little and then file them away...LOL

Re: Current Projects
1. I'm editing book 2 - Cat's Paw (two chapters to go).
2. Planning a non-fiction book, which I'll start to write when the editing above is finished.
3. A short story needs a final edit before submission too.

Re: Current Projects
I've been working very hard on this short story and I think I'm almost done with it. It's been enormously revised and cut with the help of input from writing friends, and I've just sent the current version out to them for further opinions. The deadline is less than two weeks away now so I have to declare it "finished" soon regardless.
So that's where I've been the past little while; between that and the ongoing workshop I'm taking it's been a very busy couple of months!

Re: Current Projects
Let's see...I've got two short stories I'm polishing in-between waves of sending them out, and then two stories I'm editing. Then, of course, My Baby, the novel that's consumed me the last four years.
Which I REALLY want to get finished soon so that I can start working on my next big project--I've got two or three novel ideas that I really want to get rolling but I know if I start them now I'll end up abandoning the current novel, and four years of work is waaaay too much to sacrifice now.

Re: Current Projects
You're so right, Fenshae--isn't it annoying when these new ideas come knocking, and you just don't have time to deal with them? In my case I'm pretty sure it's my brain's way of trying to distract me from the real work--finishing the task at hand! Good luck with all these projects and nice to see you here.

Re: Current Projects
Oh, I forgot to mention, I mailed out my anthology story yesterday. Hurray!! It felt good to get it finished by the deadline and to feel like it was a good story in the end. I had a lot of help from some good writing friends who gave me suggestions on restructuring and cutting. Now I can get back to the novel edit (finally!).
