Questions about marketing

A friend and I are planning an article for The Scriptorium--kind of an introduction to marketing your work. Any input on what we should include? Anything in particular anyone here has questions about on this topic?

Re: Questions about marketing

1. How to find conventions and how to schmooze with editors and agents. Does anyone even has success at this?

2. Sample query letters and sample synopsis's of successful queries.

3. How to care for captured editors and treat rejection letter wounds.
