posticon G'day!

Heya! Im Ankhesenamen.... (LOL thats a mouthful I know! people generally just call me Ankh or Ankhy)
Was just having a browse around and stumbled upon this place, it looks like a pretty nifty place to settle emoticon!
Ummm more about me:
Im a writer from Australia, trying to make my way in the writing business. I mainly like to write teenage science fiction with just a touch of fantasy.
I work full time in a bookshop (which very much gives me first hand experience in the industory) and reading, writing, art and Egyphology are just some of my pet loves! emoticon!

Welcome to the group!

When they're active, this is a good, international crowd with plenty of experiences, although it's been rather quiet here as of late.

Welcome Ankh! Things should start picking up now that the summer is winding down...I know that's what's kept me away.

I envy you your job! emoticon Although I always thought I wouldn't last long in a bookshop since I'd be too distracted by all those lovely books to actually do any work...

Re: G'day!

LOL yeah it is very tempting, Im always reading something during my lunch breaks. But its good because I get dicounted on books I buy and I also get to go to publisher conferences and stuff which is pretty neat. Always get free books from them. Im currently handing my own writing around to try and spark some publisher interest ^^.
