Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
Greetings everybody! I've been looking for a place like this for a long time.
I'm 15 years old and while I didn't ask to join I know my parents would have done nothing but approve. They are very supportive of my new found hobby of writing.
I'm kinda new at writing and my favorite genre horror. Hope I fit in around here!

Re: Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
I think you'll find yourself very welcome around here, and great that you have such fine parents...
Some days it's busy here and many days it's quiet, like now during NaNoWriMo I can't believe I type anything but words in my novel... really... I even chatted with my neice in Korea last night instead of writing my novel, and now I'm nattering here....
Good to see you!

Welcome!
Yes, writing is a good thing to have as hobby and profession. I'm glad your parents support you, I've seen the opposite for other members (on another board), and it's always hard.

Welcome Voidmaster! The board might be kind of quiet until the end of November when some of us poke our heads up to see what's going on in the world again. But I'm sure we'll help you with your writing all we can!

Re: Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
Hi again, Voidmaster!
I just happened to notice your signature - is that a quote?
(German is my native language, so I'm interested.)

Re: Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
Yes it is a quote but it is not a quote of someone that's famous. I saw it used for a sig on another site(Only theirs was in latin). He said that his teacher said it. I thought it would be a good idea, but not wanting to take the idea completely I changed it to my favorite language, German. While I don't know many words in German, both my parents family lines trace back to Germany, eventually(My Dad's goes through France). Now for the benefit of those who are reading this that can't speak German, my sig is "Perhaps someday, it will be pleasant to remember even these things" or something to that extent.

Re: Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
Would you let me suggest a slightly different version that would read better?
"Eines Tages ist es möglicherweise ganz angenehm, sich sogar an diese Dinge zu erinnern."
German sentence structure is a bit different than the English one, even though your version is almost correct.

Re: Good Afternoon fellow writer's!
Almost correct? Ain't that the story of my life. But thank you for correcting the mistake.
I will change it immediately.
Now, to throw you all off by asking a question that is completely off topic.
Exactly what are the policies(sp?) on submitting work for critque? That was one of the main reasons I was looking for a writing discussions forum, so I could get a more through critque then my parents, who aren't going to say my stuff is horrible when it is horrible.
