Minors & Contracts I'm not a minor but I know writers who are and this question comes up constantly.
Can a minor sign a contract? Or does a parent or guardian have to sign the contract on the minor's behalf?
I have no idea how it works but I'm sure this will be of interest to future members. Does anyone know for sure what happens with minors and contracts?

Re: Minors & Contracts Contract law differs from region to region, but I would expect most statutes to say that persons under a certain age cannot enter into a valid contract. I'm betting you're right, Scribe, and that a parent or guardian would have to sign or at least co-sign.
There are certainly minors out there who have been published, so there must be some way around it.
I'll have a look 'round and see what I can find out.
Good question.

Re: Minors & Contracts Thank you. I'd like to know for sure what is the norm.
