Egyptian Mythology
For "The Sword of Draesoneth: Book 4 of The Alliance Chronicles", I'm going to be using ancient Egypt as part of the setting for the book, and Egyptian mythology will factor heavily into that part.
Can anyone suggest some resources where I might learn more about the personalities of the Egyptian gods & goddesses?

I'm no help to you, Jay, for research purposes, but I did want to say that I love ancient Egypt for a setting. So visually inspiring, culturally interesting, and a heady mix of power/passion/political intrigue/and heartless cruelty.
My knowledge of the gods and goddesses is limited, but from what I read in your excerpts, the mythology should be a complimentary blend.

What country are you in? Reason I ask is because in Britain they recently brought out a magazine called the Gods of Ancient Egypt. Its fortnightly.
I have the first one, about Ra. Theres sections on Ra, the myths of Ra, the worship of Ra, the development of egyptian writing, society and tutankhamun. The second issue was about Anubis.
Course it isn't any use if you cant get the magazine.
They subscribe to UK, Ireland, Australia, Nunawading, New Zealand, South Africa, Malta, Malaysia, and Singapore.
