I have this thing about clowns now too. The one in Stephen King's "It" really got to me.

Oh, geez. Everytime I think I've gotten that memory out of my mind, something happens to bring it back again. Thing, is, the *actual* monster in that story wasn't a bit scary to me. But that *@#$!& clown...

My favorite creatures are the Igors in Terry Pratchett's Discworld stories. emoticon I'm really NOT into scary.

With heavily made up face and red wig, he looks up from inside storm drain and says..."Want a balloon little girl? Come on down Sherry. I have lots of balloons." emoticon

Don't ya just hate it when that happens? emoticon

Clown Dolls have taken a BIG lead in the 'favorite' horror creature quiz! emoticon

Who knew!

As a child, I had one of those Talking Bozo the Clown's. Pull the string and roll out the laugh barrel. He was a happy, funny, little guy.... in the daylight. But at night.... In the shadows... emoticon Yikes!

I remember looking out night at him sitting in my little wooden rocking chair. Bozo scared the life out of me. I swear that demented doll wanted to kill me! That's why Poltergiest really sent a shiver down my spine.

Creepy! emoticon

I guess my favorite human monster would have to be Freddy Kruger. I still have a warm spot in my heart for him. He was so stylish...and what a handsome devil. emoticon

I must say I agree lol. But I like most of the creatures... I just think they're cool. Which gets me a lot of stick lol. Just cuz I'm morbid and scary emoticon

Ok, I have 2 on my list of faves (although I love them all). Even though that damn clown will probably haunt me tonight, he's not on my list. The first is vampires. I can't help it, I have a 'thing' for them. The creature that scares the s@*! out of me are those creatures from Deliverance and Wrong Turn. You know the ones who are products from years of incest and insanity? I get chills just thinking about it....

The latest on the of the status of clowns as 'Scary' creatures:

A co-worker told his five year old son a joke that had been told at a work meeting:

Q: "Why don't cannibals eat clowns?"
A: "...They taste funny!"

To which his son replied... "Clowns aren't funny. They're scary, and they smell bad!"

Apparently the clowns at the hot Summer fair had been in costume a bit too long!!

What about Orcs?

They are ugly, single-minded, and relentless warriors. (And would make for good guard dogs!).
