There ought to be a word for...

Is there something you think there should be a word for--but it doesn't seem like there is? Maybe we can come up with one.

My first wanted word: one that means the state of living life from crisis to crisis or deadline to deadline. "Disorganized" is too tame. Any ideas?

I think you're right... there's no perfect word.

Here are some that come to mind that describe the action of bouncing between extremes.

polarized
ricochet
backlash
recoil
reactive
counter-???something
boomerang?

How about Drama Queen?

Parenthood? emoticon

Actually, even my reverse dictionary is silent.

Why not use a simile, "he ping-ponged through life in a series of deadline rushes, ricocheting (?) through crisises (?) like a female driver" okay thats a tongue in cheek one, but you know what I mean.

Failing that, say it clearly in as few words as possible.

Sorry I can't be more help, but when the reverse dictionary wont tell me a word, it usually doesn't exist.

Coin a new word.

I want a word to describe my life. I don't think there is one, so I asked for one.

We all missed the point......

Okay this is more fun.

The state of living from one crisis or deadline to the next is:

pendulocity

from the root words 'pendulum' and 'velocity'; referring to a habit of swinging back and forth endlessly at increasing speeds.

Pendulocity. I would love that word if it didn't sound so much like Travelocity. (curse the pop-ups). emoticon

Actually, I really can't say anything because I just can't seem to come up with anything at all.
