They were invented to circumvent exactly that problem - they are valid for return postage to any country.

Sherry, it's not a problem to send a printed manuscript. It's just difficult to provide the SASE - and I wouldn't mind an email answer.

Fortunately, the problem is solved. A friend of mine will send me US stamps. Thank goodness for Paypal. I might have to ask for Canadian stamps eventually, though. emoticon

I've been acting submissions editor for Stonehedge Publishing for over a year, and have the resource of other editors who have become good friends. If I can help anyone with a tricky submission, answer questions, or just look at a submission package via email, I'd be glad to.
