Sent out my first short story

I got my first submission out that hasn't been returned outright.

The editors of an Australian anthology are now reading my Minkus story. It's a paying market (marginally so), so I hope that'll gain me my first small publishing credit.

Have you heard anything yet? It's been almost a month. I wish you luck. Keeping my legs, fingers, and eyes crossed for you! emoticon

Nothing yet, but at this time of the year I'll give them extra time for Christmas, New Year and being Aussie. emoticon

Good luck, Firle!

My first rejection of 2006 was a leftover from 2005--10 months later! I had given up on ever hearing from this market and re-subbed the story elsewhere. Just as well they didn't take it, I guess. emoticon

Thanks, Sherry.

At the moment I'm once more thoroughly disgusted by the stance established literature takes on fantasy in Germany.

Good thing I can write in English.

I think "established literature" takes the same stance on fantasy just about everywhere. But we don't have to listen to what they say, do we? emoticon
