Castle Felsenstein
This is a short story I wrote in German, for another anthology. The deadline for email submission was on September 1st, and I got it in a few days ahead of that. I have confirmation of arrival.

Oh, Firle, sorry to hear that. I really liked this story! I thought it was interesting and original, and I liked how you invoked the moods of the piece. Did they give you any reasons for the rejection, or just a form letter?
I hate getting rejects just before NaNoWriMo. That's when I got my latest one, too. 
But, chin up. Off to the next market, right?

They sent around email listing the stories that were included. That was all. Rejections had to be inferred. I understand, they got 116 submissions, and selected 14 stories.
Of course, it's basically two authors putting together an anthology. I'm in a German forum (with its own edition, actually), and many stories from the authors there were rejected. I'm in good company, so to speak.
I really have to send the English version to Andromeda this month.

And done. I finally got around to reformatting it to their specs and sending it out. (Fortunately, they *want* email submissions.)
I hope it works out, because they are looking for supernatural detective stories right now. I also very much like Andromeda Spaceways for their friendliness and quick response.

Yes, I get the feeling my email address is blocked or something. I still have no confirmation, even though the mail went through six hours ago.
