Websites
How many (if any) of you have built websites to support your queries?
Do you include the address of your site in query letters?
Would any of you be willing to share your sites or talk about the layout you chose?

I have a website, but I don't mention it in cover letters. Of course, I add an email address which goes to my website, so if people want to know, they can.
If you want to take a look, here it is:
Firlefanz' site
It took me half a year to come up with the design. Execution is rather simple, it's a plain, static site with no frills, albeit in two languages. I used Dreamweaver to create it.
Next time I feel like fiddling with it, I have to add title tags for Firefox.

I have a website at www.sherrydramsey.com . The URL is in my letterhead, but I don't specifically mention it in my cover/query letters. Hmmm...come to think of it, I haven't updated it in a while...guess that will be one of my summer projects. 
I think it's a good idea for a writer to have a website, to promote work, show that one is serious about writing, and just have an internet presence. There are some good articles on the subject at http://www.fictionfactor.com/website.html .

I am totally tech challenged and working on my site kicks me in the backside. However, as an editor, I can say I do like to have a website to visit and include in my consideration. When you look at a submitting author, you have to see the whole package. You're signing them as much as the work. If I see an author keeps industry current and makes a strong effort to promote themselves, I'm more likely to offer a contract.
