German short story

I wrote a tiny short story for a German anthology (kid's book), and submitted it end of February.

Today I got mail that it survived the first round of reading. I'll get feedback soon and time to edit it, and in May they'll do a second round of reading to choose the final winners.

I'm excited because I didn't expect the story to do so well. emoticon

You've been surviving the first round a lot lately, Firle. That can only be a good sign! emoticon

I think it's only a matter of time...

Best of luck,

Re: German short story

The anthology was cancelled yesterday. They didn't get enough quality stories to create a book.

There goes my best chance of being published this year. *sigh*

Can you find some other potential markets for it, Firle? Since it made it through the first round you've already got some good feedback on it.

There might be another submission call - unfortunately I'd have to cut it back to the original size in order to enter. *sigh*

I'm going to translate it into English first, and see how it fares in a workshop on another board. emoticon
