Photo Story Contest
I was notified yesterday that my entry to an online photo story contest was selected as the third place winner. It was my first actual writing submission to anything, so I'm kinda happy about it. My prize pack is nothing to write home about, but my story being selected sure is motivating me to complete my unfinished work and get some other stories out there. Okay, I can float back to the ground now..lol.

Re: Photo Story Contest
Thanks Firle, Scribe, and Kat for all your kind words. After I get my story The Well formatted for submission, then another one after that, I need to get busy finishing things I've got in the works. For example: Deadly Development, my murder mystery book, Now You See Her, Now You Don't, my crime drama, short stories--Cabin Christmas, Kindred Spirits, and what was that other one Kat? Something about a hermit and a lady I think.
I have a disadvantage in that I only use two fingers to type. I need to find me a good female editor and marry her..lol.

Re: Photo Story Contest
Nah, it't not too hard to learn to touchtype. There are online classes, too.
And keep up submitting!

Re: Photo Story Contest
Great job!
Being awarded 3rd place is a prize all itself! Sounds like your well on your way! As the others have said, carry on with this positive incentive!
Congrats!
McDoog
PS. I'm up to typing with 3.5 fingers now! Keep practicing!

Re: Photo Story Contest
Thanks McDoog,
You can use 3.5 fingers to type? WOW. I'm envious. Wait, does my thumb count?
I'm not sure if touch typing, that Firle mentioned, is the same as regular typing without looking at the keys. I never got the hang of it. I had Typing 101 in high school, but I would never have passed if it wasn't for the two young ladies that sat behind me and helped me catch up on my assignments. Bless their hearts.

Re: Photo Story Contest
I tried to learn to type with the Mavis Beacon CD but I couldn't be arsed to continue lol. I still only use my two middle fingers and thumbs... And my ring finger for caps and shift. I'm pretty fast though. Unless I'm drunk and then it takes me ages to find the keys... and I still get the letters wrong.
