Re: Photo Story Contest True Typing Story (sort of a horror story):
I took a Typing class at a Junior College. About midway through the course, the instructor calls me up to her desk. What helpful advice does she have for me today???
"I would suggest you drop the course. You're just not typing fast enough." ??? That's teaching? Really got my money's worth out of that course.
And I'm not sure what she was talking about anyway. My typing speed had drastically improved from 8 to 16 words per minute. That's a 100% improvement!

And yes, I think using your thumb counts! What about noses?

Re: Photo Story Contest A teacher like that should be in another profession. I had an algerbra teacher like that, Mr. Babb. I don't even want to get started about him.
I got pretty fast doing the typing exercises. After typing "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the country" so many times, you could do it blindfolded.
Okay, I've got two fingers, a thumb, and maybe a little pinky on the Enter key occasionally. Look out McDoog, I'm catching up.

Re: Photo Story Contest I always say the course I took in high school that turned out to have the most benefit in my life was typing! Okay, maybe that's not actually true, but most days it feels like it. It's the one that has the most tangible effect, at any rate.
