Current submissions
Right now I have five stories out in submission. I sent them all out one day a few weeks ago when I was feeling that I absolutely had to do something "writerly." Hoping they don't *all* come back at once...

Re: Current submissions
I hope they all come back with either an outright acceptance or constructive suggestions that lead to acceptance...

Re: Current submissions
Still nothing on any of these. Some of them are quite a bit past their stated turnaround time, too. Ugh.

Re: Current submissions
So far, one rejection. No word on the others. I'm not too upset about that one--it was a reprint and I thought it was a long shot.
I've just recently submitted a poem so I still have five things out. I'm a sucker for punishment! ;-)

Re: Current submissions
The market that I sent the poem to has folded. I have two stories "on hold" at two of the markets, which is better than an outright "no" but still nerve-wracking, because it's not a "yes" either! Ah, the joys of the writing life...

Re: Current submissions
Rats. The one I had at Andromeda Spaceways was finally released back to me with a very nice note, part of which said,
quote: If it got this far, you can rest assured that your story is of high quality and you should be able to find a home for it. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Which is nice to hear, but there just aren't that many markets looking for humor. Ah, well, time to dig out the market plan on that one and see where it's headed next.
