Sherri, I don't know if this constitutes as spam, so pull this if you don't think it's appropriate. I'm offering placement of banner ads on my website for a low fee as a way to help other authors and webmasters draw traffic to their site.
Here's the pitch:
Are you in need of inexpensive marketing? I welcome you to advertise with this site through the use of rotating banner advertisements.
Ascension: The Alliance Chronicles is a website geared towards science fiction enthusiasts and visitors include artists and amature writers, as well as sci-fi fans and other avid readers. Visitors to this site also enjoy movies. music, food and video games and are active consumers. This site feautres content that will attract return visitors and give your banner advertisement the opportunity to reach this demographic.
As part of the features of this website, I have a rotating banner advertisement program which allows for the random posting of a banner advertisement with every page visited on this website. This is, again, an opportunity for you to get your site's link in front of my target demographic.
I offer banner impressions for a mere 1 penny per impression*, with a minimum order of $5.00 USD. That will get you 500 impressions for your banner added to my rotation. In addition to this, I will give you an additional 10% of free impressions based on your total order. So, for $5.00, you will recieve a total of 550 impressions and for example, $10 will get you 1100 impressions and so on. I will host your banner on my site you you won't have to worry about impressions taking away from your monthly bandwidth.
Banners must be 468x60 in size. If you do not have a banner, but would like to advertise with my site, I will make a banner for you based on your specifications for a flat rate of $5.00 USD.
**I will not advertise any religious or pornographic sites or materials.**
To place your order, contact me at jay.hurd@comcast.net to make arrangements. You will be instructed to pay via PayPal, and I will need you to email me your banner graphic, the site name and the URL for your site. Your banner will be added to the rotation within 48 hours of reciept and confirmation of the order.
No refunds will be offered. You may contact me at anytime to find out the statistics of your banner's activity and how many impressions have been made, and you add more impressions at any time by emailing me with your order for additional impressions.

*An impression is a when you banner advertisement appears on a page at random and stays visible for the duration of the page view by the site visitor.
