Re: My other creative outlet
This year I decided to take on Illustration Friday as a creative challenge. A topic arrives in my inbox every Friday, and then I do a picture to illustrate the word. Fun! The illustrations get posted in my art blog. I'm doing them all in ACEO size (2.5" x 3.5") to be sure I actually do it! My daughter and son are participating, too.
A while back I found a webpage with a similar theme, only the idea was to write a poem on the topic every week. I should have bookmarked it, because now I can't find it.

Havent looked at the pics yet Sherry...will later as I'm at work...but I also draw...I dont really think I'm much good right now, and know I need more practice...I'm currently trying to work on more digitally drawn stuff as I personally am horrible at CG arts and want to improve...I'm torn some evenings to either work on my writing or drawings cuz I have a DeviantArt account (two actually) and people are always wanting my stuff up, and then I want to get writing more though...Hopefully once I get a laptop to work on both it'll be easier...LOL

My daughter has a Deviant account and spends a lot of time surfing there. She draws a lot of manga-style and together we're trying to learn the ins and outs of Manga Studio. She mostly works in pencil, though. I have a hard time keeping her in sketchbooks!
