Titanic crossed the ocean blue. A legend in her day. Unsinkable they all thought they knew nothing to stop her in her way. Young Thayer strolled along the deck the cool night briskly blowing beneath his neck, never knowing that soon the Titanic it would wreck. It was the end of an era. It was the end of a dream. It was the beginning of a legend Titanics legend that never had a chance to cleam! Clock in the stairwell chimmed eleven Titanics band played on was just like heaven. And the laughter could be heard upon the main deck! Mr. Ismay himself wrote a very large check. Captain Smith had just finished a very good meal with his retirement nearing how terrific he did feel! New York New York only two days away or so never expecting what would happen when the Iceberg got in the way! Clock in the stairwell chimmed eleven thirty five Mr. Fleet up in the crows nest very glad to be alive. Suddenly out of the darkness it appeared! Like a vipor in the night gradualy it neared. Mr. Fleet picked up the phone and called the wheel house deck it was the beggining of the Titanics wreck! It was the end of an era. It was the end of a dream. It was the beggining of a legend. That never had a chance to gleam! Two Twenty the stern rose out of the air One by one her lights dissapeared as if she didnt even care. Young Thayer and his friend jumped to the depths below and the great ship sank to the bottom and the band could be heard! Nearer my god to thee Titanics sinking fast now! Nearer my god to thee Titanics slipping away now! Young Thayer managed to survive he was greatfull very greatfull just to be alive! It was the end of an era. It was the end of a dream. The title is very creative, and an excellent selection for such a story. Thank you for having shared that with us! The delightful contrast between a dream ending and the birth od a legend is well defined and has much truth to it's logic. It was ended with taste, pulling the main idea together in the end is classic.
