Huh...erm, Lightsy. I'm a little confused here. Your above url does not make a lick of sense. Are you trying to post a link here or an image of your little Sundowner?
However the case, I have seen photos of her and think she is one very lovely lady to behold. And I'm sorry that she didn't come through via that link.

Re: Lightoller's Little Lady
I should think a larger image is more proper, nice picture Lights! She's a charming little ship/boat. Didn't the Sundowner endure a hurricane, and survive it? :Tropical: If so, it is impressive.

Re: Lightoller's Little Lady
Yep, she sure did!!! Last I heard from the EKMT, she's undergoing annual maintainance and will be back in the water in a bit.
Sundowner--94 years old and still going strong!

Re: Lightoller's Little Lady
I can't believe it! She really was (and is) a blessed vessel. What part of England is she in? I wonder what maintenance she is undergoing. You know, she reminds me of the Blue Dawn boat you posted about earlier Lights. Now boarding her would be a neat thing to do if it is allowed.

Re: Lightoller's Little Lady
I believe that she is at the Ramsgate Marina in Kent...this is where she sailed off to Dunkirk.
Yes, I think she was blessed with the same luck which seemed to go with Lights throughout his life...
I think normal maintainence such as checking for watertight integrity of the seams and of course getting rid of those pesky barnacles!! :sailor: not to mention the need to repaint her and refinish the woodwork every now and then. My kudos to the folks at EKMT for a spendid job!!!
Also I do believe that if one would like to board, arrangements must be made but I do understand it can be done.
Here is a link:

I wonder if her similarity to Blue Dawn is because Lightoller definitely had a big hand in designing Sundowner and likley was in on designing Blue Dawn as well.
