posticon James Cameron (TITANIC's Writer-Director)

In next week's TV Guide, the August 14-20, 2006 issue's Q&A section on page 83, James Cameron answers eight questions out to him. Here they are:

Quote:

He terminated Ahhnuld and sank the Titanic. Now James Cameron tackles another biggie as Executive Producer of The Exodus Decoded (History, 8/7c), an eye-popping account of filmaker Simcha Jacobovici's work to scientifically prove the tale of Moses and the flight of the Israelites from Egypt.--Damian J. Holbrook
This is one cool documentary. The graphics alone...It's such a complicated subject that finding a way to organize it in a visual manner...was [a challenge].
Between "The DaVinci Code" controversy and this, it's been a big year for ancient faiths. I think this can excite people whether they're Christians, Jews or even Muslims. It's part of their faith that we now know so much more about. We know where things specifically happened. I don't think that it challenges anything.
So linking the plagues and the parting of the sea to an earthquake and volcanoes doesn't take God out of the equation? It's not that God is out of the equation, but that God may have worked through [natural events].
What's going on with your anime film, Avatar? We've been working on [it] for a year and it'll come out in two years. It's a very big project with lots of CG animation.
Do you feel pressured to make a hit? It's not about that for me. It's about what's interesting. You only have so much time on the planet.
Obviously, Entourage was interesting...[Laughs] That was a favor for a friend who had [worked] on Dark Angel, who's now one of the producers on Entourage.
And now everyone wants to know if you're doing Aquaman for real. You know, I actually had an agent try to talk me into it.
Besides, you're done the water thing. And I'll probably do more water stuff. But not Aquaman. It's just not a very good comic.

Hope you enjoyed hearing from our *star* TITANIC W-D!? emoticon :sailor:
