Siggys
James,
I want to change my Siggy next. This time around, I would like to add a piccy. This piccy is of Titanic's stern sticking up out of the water and her bow section is completely submerged, and in the background is the image of Jesus' figure with outstretched arms.
With the above described piccy, I would like to include, if it is OK with you, the second verse to Dottie Rambo's song--"Sheltered In The Arms of God". These are the lyrics to the second verse:
Soon, I shall hear the call from heaven's portal,
Come home, my child, this is the last mile you must trod,
I'll fall asleep, and I'll wake in God's new heaven,
Sheltered safe, within the arms of God.
It is, you see--aimed at Will, and all those passengers whom lost their lives that horrible night of April 14 & 15, 1912.
Please let me know if you approve.
Thank you,
MA

Re: Siggys
Hey MA,
I should remind you that I only posted a thread for avatars because it was an updated feature. If you have questions I think they belong in either the Oak Elevators or the First Class Lounge (Off Topics). But its okay I will move this thread. Just for next time.
Anyway, to begin a picture or words you put in your signature appear on all runboard forums, and although I do not mind it I know some others might. I would check before, but If I am not mistaken the picture is off a Nearer My God To Thee words sheet. There is also a limit to how many things you can put in your signature so you may or may not have room for the song.. and I am not quite sure if it will offend others or not.
I suppose it is okay, afterall it is a tribute to those who died, and not something from the bible or such. I would advise you to place words from the Nearer My God To Thee song as it is in all fact for those who perished in 1912.
However, to put a signature what you do is first insert it into your album at photobucket.com. Next step is copy the Entire IMG and paste it into your Signature (Misc Settings in your Panel - where you change your avatar is a box for Signature). That is all you do and it will appear. It is URL for Avatars and IMG for Sigs. But Remember I would check first.
James

No, actually, the photo in question, is actually a poster from Pastor John Hagee's ministry. Not "Nearer My God To Thee".
As for the 2nd verse from Dottie Rambo's song, I will probably use the last three lines:
Come home my child, this is the last mile you must trod.
I'll fall asleep, & I'll wake in God's new heaven.
Sheltered safe within the arms of God.
This song came to her, while she was lying on a gourney in an hospital morgue, where she almost died...but, God miraculously helped her pull out of her unconscious state. Just incase you're wondering about the history of this beautiful song.

No, that's not the one. The Hagee one is in color, and it shows an image of Jesus with His arms outstretched as Titanic's bow section is fully submerged and her stern is sticking up in the air...just before she breaks up in two sections.

P.S. Below, is the said siggy pic:

Just one more test. This had better be a good one...
Ooops! I accidentally left out the words " the arms".

On Tom's TDTSC, under our Control Panels are seprate. So one has the option of whether or not they want to activate their sigs there. To keep everyone happy, I choose not to...but, "only" to activate my Ada avatar.=D

Thank you, I am glad that you like my new siggy.
You are more than welcome to move the Avatars and Sigs threads to that other forum called "new", if you wish. I promise you that I won't mind.
When I saw that poster pic, I flipped! Somehow I knew that I would find a place which to show it...and it tis' here on your board, James. :titanic:
