Testing New Avatar!
I am testing my new Titanic Avatar, which also happens to be one of my more favorite pictures of the ship. It expresses the true drama of the night. I love it!

Oo-oo, that is a pretty :kewl: avatar, Mr Titanic...and I also like the new Titanic's hull skin-look (although the white background for our meassageboard will take some getting used to...it can grow on you :heyy as well too! Atleast we'll get to see our messages whenever us posters add new threads to the board. When before, we could not.

Thank You very much MA! I personally favor this picture, it has so much meaning and truth to it. I was particularly fond of the new style for TSOLD as well, which involves my instillation of this new Titanic hull skin. Believe me, the white will be very easy to get use to, not only is it professional, but it makes many forum functions much easier (especially when preveiwing a post!) I like to think it's rather Icy and light. You can find a new announcment regarding this new skin and the new features in the Engine Room as well

Re: Testing New Avatar!
Yup, the new white *new* background does have its +'s, doesn't it? I like the idea of seeing what I've wrote, as means of previewing my thread, before I submit it to be posted. Whereas before, you could not preview it, because you could not see what you wrote. Therefore--I am glad you changed it.

There's a picture of your new avatar on page 51 of "882 1/2 AMAZING ANSWERS to your QUESTIONS about the TITANIC" book by Hugh Brewster & Laurie Coulter. It's shown just below Question #500 which asks...
Quote: What shocked Mrs. Ryerson in Lifeboat No. 4?
That it only took them a few minutes to reach the water, which was just 15 feet (5 m) below. As the boat descended down the side of the ship, she could see water swirling around the furniture in the brightly lit staterooms on B-deck.

Re: Testing New Avatar!
Come to think of it one does notice that. Since hte ocean was rather dark, and die to April 15th 1912 being a moonless night she may not have noticed the height until the ocean lapped onto her lifeboat's keel. Such a gruesome sight, to see the elegant consumed by death.
I am pleased to know you (as well) show appreciation for the new skin. The matching buttons, and clearer features is what attracted me to changing it to this light color.
