Oh, yes, MA, it brings back some very traumatic memories. Ewan Stewart did a good job of playing Will...especially given the script he had to work with!

Absolutely! Ewan certainly did do a great job of playing Will...what with all that nitpicking from his hometown denizens over his suicide scene. They cannot face the reality that perhaps Will actually could have committed the deed after all. That is why I, to a "certain" degree, accept Ewan's portrayal of him, as being right on target.

True, but remember MA that the hometown didn't just take offense to the Suicide, but also due to the fact that the movie "Titanic" portrayed officer Murdoch as someone who took bribes, rather than expand on his heroic qualities.

Precisely, Mr Titanic...which is why I said--That is why I, to a "certain" degree... accept Ewan's portrayal of Will. Meaning, we (Lights and I) both disagree with that bribery scene wholeheartedly.

Furthermore--in the film, as you may recall, it was Cal (Billy Zane) who deliberately stuffed that wad of dough into Will's overcoat pocket...hence, it was forced upon him while he was busy readying that lifeboat. Which, I think, is why Will's fellow hometown citizens might not have took that all too important scene in to account.

I highly applauded Will's actions in that final scene encounter he had with Cal, for which he flung that bribery dough back into Cal's face, saying--"Your money can't save you any more than it can save me!" emoticon When he said that, I vigorously emoticoned my hands and said, 'What a way to go, Will!!! You tell him!!!' emoticon

When Cal satuffs the money in Will's pocket, Will gives him a look that's just great...as if he's thinking, "Are you a %&*@$$! or are you just trying to make me think that?"

Well, I will opt for the stern as I don't think WIll would have been cruel enough to knock anybody into that icy cold water.

Of course, he would not do that to Cal, or to anybody else. Will does not have a mean bone in his body.emoticon emoticon
