TSOLD has received an Additional forum. It is a private area specifically for active passengers. Any member who has demonstrated fine skills in Titanic related Discussions and active within the community will receive access. So far, no one has been granted access, however a few selected users will this week. Remember the TSOLD rules section is detailed on special access forums. You may read this section of the rules by clicking the link at the top right hand corner of the board. Good Luck on entering!

is the special access area for discussions on Titanic or is it for the discussion of anything? not that it really matters, i'm just curious :insane?:

lol, A quick glance does the trick. As for your question I am not sure, I think it should be of both, you are welcome to provide your own views on what the forum should be composed of, however as of right now it is general (Semi-Titanic based) chat, including the forum and all that goes on with it.

Mr. Titanic, please may I also be granted your wish to join the Aft Grand Staircase forum as well?
Heaven knows, we've been friends and confidants since we met onboard TT, plus we both run TBAA "AD" together.
Plus, I really think it would be totally :kewl: to join in on the fun of our private little club there. :heyy:

lol MA, Did you read the rules? The access will be awarded to you, therefore do not ask for it as it will be assigned. As far as my current list is concerned you will be granted acess Friday afternoon. I have a few other members in mind, but I need at least one Titanic related post by Friday to grant them access, in other words, be active this week.

Yes, Mr. Titanic, I did indeed just now read the rules, and I "think" I understand what they're about. Like Emma, what do you mean by "views"...and what do they entail? 
And thank you for the your assurance re: me being assigned to this private forum, too.

Well I am pleased to know you comprehend the rules. I had asked Emma if she had any views (As in opinions or Suggestions) in regards to the Aft Grand Staircase to consider. You are all welcome to mentioning any should you have them. Keep up the great work.

I do have one question though. I would like to know if our new Private Member's Area is similar to the one we belonged to over on the TDTSC board?
There, we too, have a private place which to post stuff we wouldn't want anyone else to see...for which we were required to get from the Admins./Mods. (in your case, it would be you, our TSOLD Administrator), a special password before joining.

In regards to your question MA, they are somewhat similar, with a few key differences.
When joining the TDTSC Chat Area, (Called the Chat Area) anyone who accumulates 35 posts is permitted entry, without password, and the forum is not locked. Filling in a forum with your name and post count is all that is required, and the forum is completely public, so those who are not members of it may veiw the forum without the right to post in it. This is not to say anything negative about it, the idea is a fine one and It did inspire our chat area in some ways.
However, ours differs. Instead, the Aft Grand Staircase is invite only, meaning only those I select may view and post on that forum. To gain entry, I do not require 35 posts, I care more about what one's posts are composed of. I do not appreciate 35 posts of off topic spam in the lounge or anything to that effect. So it is somewhat like the TSOLD Honor Role, good attendance, good Titanic Grades (Posts lol) in discussions and fine contributions in class (Forum) grants you the option of posting in the forum. The forum itself is entirely private.
I am also considering applications (Posted here) from members interested. However as I previously stated, I hav a few in mind. I would love some feedback, so thats why I am thinking about applications to post here (such as yout name, post count and what you can and will contribute.) Now you can loose your privileges if one drops some of the criteria. I'd hate to do it and you all know I am flexable, but all we really want is to see everyone because we are all friends. A lot of the forum rules no longer apply in the Aft Staircase, only the major one's as it is a private forum. More detail will be present to those who are qulaified and receive entry. I am thinking Friday Night, to grant entry, it is however subject to change.
It sounds like fun to me
