A Teakwood Deck Chair
Guess what, guys!?! Uncle Bill, my sister's-in-law former fellow realistate agent, gave us an old teakwood deck chair. It's just like the one Will & Kate Winslet (Rose) are seen sitting down on...as the latter looks at Leonardo DiCaprio (Jack's) sketches.

Re: A Teakwood Deck Chair
Really? Well teak should hint it's authentic qualities, after all it was used as decking and for deck chairs due to it's oil content which rejects water and doesn't mold or stain as easy, because sea breeze is inevitable on ships. Though I suppose Titanic did have an enclosed promenade.
Very nice, congratulations! :D

This deck chair is indeed authentic. For it possesses all those qualities you mentioned in your above reply post, Mr Titanic. Though it could use some fixing up--being sanded and varnish painted...inorder for it to look almost brand new again.
The picture showing Will sitting down in a deck chair, wasn't Titanic, but an older ship. I shall look up in my WMM:A Career At Sea book, and get back to you as to which ship he is seen in that deck chair. Okay? :heyy:

Re: A Teakwood Deck Chair
Excellent, I get excited just talking about it. You know, if and when it gets finished up and cleaned off look into taking some pictures! I'm interested in the picture too, I'm not quite sure to which you are refering, but would like to. That must be your favorite book huh? :heyy:

WMM:A Career At Sea is indeed my favorite book...2nd favorite book, that is. Your favorite picture of Will aboard the Medic, graces page 10 of his biography. :heyy:
That picture for which he is sitting in a teak deck chair, he is aboard the Adriatic for which he is serving as 1st Officer. And he looks oh sooo able. ~~Sigh~~
This is what the deck chair, for which I spake of, may have looked like when it was new.
