 TSOLD Rules and Regulations
I. Joining The Board
Keep in mind this board's subject is centered about the R.M.S. Titanic. We welcome all members and encourage their participation in debates and discussions in any way related to the liner.
Joining the board to leave a link to your own online web space is frowned upon and the post will be promptly deleted. The forum is not set up as your advertising area. You may provide links in your signature, however one to a few posts to draw members to that site is forbidden. Do not participate for that sole reason.
All members should contain their signatures to a suitable size, anything exceeding 200 Pixels in height and 600 pixels in length is violating this rule. Be considerate. Large signatures will be judged by the administration on their magnitude (how they disfigure the appearance of threads), and a PM will be issued should they become a problem. If you are unable to contain them, then refrain from having the image.
This same rule applies to Avatars, which should not exceed 200 X 200 pixels.
We would like to get to know our newly boarded passengers, therefore we ask that you create an Introduction thread in our "First Class Reception Room."
By joining you agree to abide by the rules set for this community by the Administrator.
II. Basic Board Rules
Flaming of any sort will not be tolerated. This board is meant to be a friendly place for members to contribute as well as learn about the historical liner Titanic. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however be sure to steer clear of aggressive comments. Along the lines of that thought, one's tone should be monitored by the user adding it to the forum.
Provide respect to others sharing the forum with yourself. At the very least, if you expect it in return.
1) Please post discussions in their proper forum (A description is present to guide one to the main topic of that forum) the administration may move one's post/thread to the forum where it belongs.
a) Discussions related to the subject of religion, reincarnation (religion) and politics are forbidden. Unless the mention relates to the topic, it will be edited out of posts, or the posts deleted. Please monitor your messages and be sure not to mention the above as they do often cause a disturbance. Keep in mind, this is a Titanic board.

2) This forum should maintain a level of sophistication among the aspects of it's discussions and debates. Therefore, avoid using "Internet Language" such as "U" to replace "You." One's post may be edited should it be found to be rather difficult to read.
3) Please remember that TSOLD cannot be held responsible for content of posts. Keep in mind though, that Negative (and or Flame posts) among others found offensive will be edited when found.
4) Should one's post require editing, a warning will be left by the Moderator or Administrator who had done so in Red. If you persist after the issued warning your posts will be deleted without discussion.
5) Posting from more than one account (Username - IP address) Is not permitted. Users who violate this rule will have all accounts other than the main account that user selects deleted and banned. Should this occur once again, the user will be banned as well.
6) Material from other websites must have the source provided.
7) All images, ideas and site content (posts and announcements)including forum names and board functions displayed on TSOLD belong to the webmaster (administrator) or user, and should not be taken, re-produced/copied or used in any way. If you desire an image on the board please request permission to use it via E-mail or PM. Otherwise, the taking of images is prohibited.
8) We do not accept trollers as passengers aboard our community. Posting to stir chaos, negative feelings and or attention will be deleted, this will not be tolerated.
III. Special Access
Selected users will be given access to specific locked areas of forums. These will not include The Wreck or The Bridge unless one is a Moderator or Administrator.
Do not request access to these parts they will be assigned to you at the proper time. Should you visit the board at infrequent intervals you may not be granted this privilege.
When you are permitted to contribute in that forum, you are required at least one post in a Titanic related forum within a one month period. Failure to do so will cause your privilege to be revoked. This also comes into account should you cease to post period.
IV. Administration
The administration is a team set to monitor and correct issues about the board. They are also meant to guide users, and are expected to participate frequently in order to do so.
Please do not request to become an Administrator or Moderator, a user will be selected to receive that title. Participation in Titanic related area's of a forum will enhance one's probability of becoming a member of the team. Over all, it is a choice set by both the owner and the community.
1) Arguing with the Administrators, Moderators or very owner of the forum not only wastes your time, it will get you suspended and/or banned. Attempting to make us look bad will have the same result. You don't like one of our decisions, take it up with a PM.
A Moderator's and Administrators Guide has been placed in the "Captain's Quarters." Should you feel any member of our administration has gone out of line in your judgment, be sure to mention it to the team.
V. Karma Count (Rivets)
This feature is meant to give "Rivets" to those who help you in any way on the board. This is optional, and the Administration has removed the "Smite" button from the forum. The purpose of this action was to prevent the act of flaming through giving negative karma (rivet) points to TSOLD members.
VI. Violations
This section of the rules should apply to no one. Hopefully throughout the course of our history this area will not be taken into effect.
1) Violation of rules will result in your post being deleted. Warnings will be issued, after three, suspensions and banning will take place.

- Persisting afterwards will result in a
Weeks suspension, then 3 weeks, months then permanent banning if and when necessary.
