The Eternal Darkness

Not sure if you could call this a TITANIC book, but since Robert Ballard did discover TITANIC's resting place, I'll run it up and see who salutes it.

The Enternal Darkness is the story of deep sea exploration as told by one of its pioneers, Dr. Robert D. Ballard. I got it about a month ago and found it to be an excellent overview of the history of deep sea exploration, geared to the layman. I think that if you enjoy anything having to do with the sea, you will enjoy The Eternal Darkness.

TED (notice its initials spells out the name, Ted? emoticon ) sounds like a very interesting book. A book that I would like to get my hands on, for I too am interested in sea-related material as well. Thank you, Lights, for bringing it to our attention.

Re: The Eternal Darkness

I've heard about this book while data editing! I thought it would make a good read, because Ballard describes his history and encounter with many oceanic finds that I think are all very significant to marine science. Technically speaking, it's a personal account of Robert Ballard's accomplishements. I really want this book!

Here is the cover of the book:
