She was five years old at the time of the sinking. She surivived with her mother Selma and younger brother Felix. Her twin brother Carl and two other elder brothers Filip and Clarence were lost as was her father Carl. Lillians story has always touched my heart. I really do appreciate that you mentioned this. I imagine an experience such as the sinking of a vessel and the loss of loved ones in one night (much less 2 hours and 40 minutes) must have been a tramatic experience, and one she will never forget regardless of her age at five when it happened. I hope that she does have a great birthday as well :rose: I find it amazing how so many survivors live past, near or to 100 years of age. It must be because of the horrific disaster they encountered, which left them immune to anything else that would seem to pale in comparison to the Titanic.
