How to post pictures on the forums in 3 clicks - Get FireFox!
I noticed that alot of you have stories to share, but the lack of pics do not illustrate what you guys are trying to show properly.
I found a very fast way to put up pictures anywhere >> blog, forums whatsoever.
Basically, you need Firefox. If youre still using IE, it's time to change, because firefox has millions of things that make it more user friendly than IE.
Right click on the image u want to show on the forums, and click on "copy image location". This allows you to find the direct link to the image. Next, click on the "insert image" button on your posting screen. Right click on the pop up and paste the link and you're done.
IE doesn't allow you to do this, because it doesnt let you find out the exact image location. If I'm not wrong, this is known as hot linking.
Duke's Addition:
I was gonna start a new thread with all you need to know about FireFox (abbreviated as FF from now on).. But instead I'll just pin it to the end instead.
Firstly, get FF here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
It's only a 5.7MB file.
Install it as usual, then you're ready to go. Just leave IE. It's too big a pain to try and eliminate totally.
The first thing you'll want to do, is install AdBlock Plus:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
It removes all known ads from any site you visit. If there's a site you like, you can add it to a safe list, and load the images there.
Once installed, get a filter list to keep you updated:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1136
If you use image hosting sites frequently, it'd be a good idea to get a firefox plugin to do the hard work for you.
ImageShack:
http://reg.imageshack.us/content.php?page=extension
Umm... I can't find any other ones atm...
Maybe if some of the PhotoBucket users have seen a plugin option, that'd be good if you can let me know about it lol.
If you don't like the look of FF, there's tons of skins out there.
The one I currently use is Noia 2.0 (eXtreme)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/72
Now for some little helpful hints:
* To open a new tab, hit Ctrl-T and start typing for fast switching!
* F3 can start searching for text in a page. Or if you trawl the FF options you can enable fast searching. Just start typing a keyword and it'll find it on the page. Hitting F3 cycles the results.
* Ctrl-R refreshes the current tab.
* If you get the ImageShack plugin, you can just Right-Click on ANY image, and Tag it, Upload it, or share it with your personal folder.
Oh BTW, the ImageShack toolbar has a quick Upload button that allows you put images on the net fast, without having to browse to the site itself.
It can even take screenshots and upload them in an instant.

Karma up!
It still can be done in IE, but it takes a bit longer...
You have to right-click and go to Properties.
The address should be somewhere in there...
But I can't remember.
FireFox all the way!
And if you do have firefox, get a plugin for your favourite image host site.
