Re: horsey bets

5 betstoday.. all in races i don't really like... Handicaps and 2 with big fields emoticon anyways

they are all tonight so no rush but try and get the price..

GL650 Benedict Spirit @ 25/1 bet365 Not a hugely solid selection, but he is too big a price and should be half. RP Spotlight: Best effort to date when getting off the mark at Southwell in January and handicapper been reasonable in only putting him up 1lb; longer trip should suit and should give another good account Good enough for me.

GL720 - Split stakes again between Magic Warrior @16/1 (betfred/bet365) and Nassar @28/1 (Betfred) Split stakes here. Again a big handicap and its the value i'm looking for as these horses are well overpriced. RP SPotlight Magic Warrior; Versatile regarding trip though 1m3f probably pushing it the last twice, that or feeling his exertions after long spell on the go; enough form at 1m to think he can go well off this mark back from a break on first try for up-and-coming rider. Nassar; Not had many chances off this sort of mark and signs of things coming right when only just losing out over further at Lingfield two runs ago (didn´t settle, finished lame); clearly didn´t stay next time but stronger pace at this trip could suit and possibilities.

Hu8.10 Ganymede 16/1 (Betfred) & Festive Chimes @16/1 (SPortingbet) Both are in the RP Ostdata top 3 behind Trebello

Festive Chimes Spotlight - Below best since last summer but better in a good race by Fakenham standards two goes back and would have been of real interest had she not then run so modestly at Ludlow. GanymedeThree-time AW winner; seems to be finding his feet over hurdles with a couple of top-four finishes in big-field handicaps to his name; up again in trip and he did stay well on the Flat, so it might well bring him on.

Re: horsey bets

Lingfield 2.40 Split stakes here. The favourite Masaalek looks pretty solid, and with the other danger Meydan Dubai a non-runner we have e/w steal possibilities and
the 2 against the field are:
Connor's Choice @ 22/1 (skybet) and Ivory Silk @ 25/1 (sportingbet).

Connor's ChoiceRP Placed over 7f last three of five starts as 2yo, making most and going close at Brighton final outing; decent chance to get in the money again if that turf form is transferred to AW on reappearance
Ivory SilkThird in all three Polytrack maidens at 7f/1m before not disgraced facing stiff task at Newmarket; fair form but likely that good deal more is needed to win this.

Lingfield 3.10
Harbour Blues @ 14/1 (general). Can't believe this price, (was 16/1 but i couldn't get the message up due to board downtime emoticon )
Topspeed and Postdata rate it too and the Express man had given him the thumbs up. 8 runner race so n-r possibilities i suppose, but a massive price nontheless. Get on!!
Both wins justifying favouritism in 6f claimers at Wolverhampton but although has come up short in handicaps, latest staying-on fourth of 19 (had been making the running on AW) at Ripon gives him form chance in a competitive race.

Bangor-on-Dee 8.30
Can't let this one go.. NOt the strongest of bets but if Supsonic gets in the money and i don't back it i'll be kicking myself. Definitely the weekest of the 4 bets but the 25/1 Totesport are offering is too big
RP: Poor show last time (hung) when tongue tie replaced blinkers but the more usual aids are back on today, so better expected, and he is 2lb lower than when fair fourth to subsequent big-race winner Border Castle on previous start; this sort of trip seems to suit better than further too.

Re: horsey bets

what have we got here:

Connor's Choice SP 10/1 2nd.... Ivory Silk chucked his jockey off behind the stalls and got badly hampered by some stumbling horse in front (sending Ivory to the back so who knows)

Harbour Blues started at 8/1 and ran well before losing by a nose into 4th...

Supsonic - 2nd @ 14/1 SP from 25/1

Ramona too short (though 2nd @ 10/1)... Pyleigh Lady went backwards at the crucial stage.
