Vegas 2009
Preparations already under way... This, I'm sure will be my last visit but thanks to my little Bro deciding to get married out there and a free flight from Virgin for being arseholes, I've really no choice but to give it one more go.
Deffo looking at late October this year due to above factor. Probably 20th or so until 31st

Re: Vegas 2009
Very quick update
By the time we got there Sunday we were all knackered but still played the midnight O'Sheas donkfest after several drinks beforehand. Gotta say I was falling asleep at the table before we'd even started... whoops.. Anyhow, it's a fun game so not too worried. Only success (and it's partial) is Paul comes 4th and gets his money back after a saver was agreed.
Monday night and it's Sahara time. 76 runners and I'm second last of the 6 of us out in about 22nd place. Good news is that Sharon makes the final table. Top 8 pay and quickly the deal is done to ensure all 10 get paid. It seems a bit unfair to mention the 'lucky' hand cos she played well throughout but when with 8 left(blinds 2000/4000), the short stack goes all in for 13k and gets called, Sharon looks down and sees QQ. She pushes for her entire 45k and Eurolady at end also pushes for around 40k.. Initial caller folds and three players turn over their cards. KJ for short stack, QQ Sharon and AA Eurolady.. Whoops.. K on flop to give SS hope but Q on river and Sharon takes 2 out and is now chip leader. At this point the table discuss a 6 way chop and they all agree to take a healthy $490 for their $65 investment. So Sharon becomes our first real winner.
Tuesday and its Venetian game. Unfortunately I didnt make it up in time so only the 5 sat down in a field on 140+ Sharon goes from hero to zero and is very early casualty. K's cracked I believe to a flush on the river. The others get knocked out slow and sure and because I was playing cash at O'Sheas, I really have no idea of any hands. All I know is that Danny returns around 7pm after busting in 17th place for a double his entrance fee cash.
Today it's Harrahs mega deepstack so reports to follow on that.
As for cash, I think we've all done OK from what i've heard. Roulette is a bit more volatile and there's been a few bad nights although personally, last 2 days have been ok enough for me.
Ps... Always get your teeth checked before a holiday.. I've got a hamster cheek now after a day of unbearable suffering. Still, only another 10 days on painkillers and vodka red bulls ;-)
