It's a good way to keep a handle on political issues before the bubble up onto CNN or Fox News, as well as cultural trends. There are also features that track the top personalities in the news and others that have recently burst onto the scene, and gives you the ability to create custom graphs of how much buzz a person or topic has generated over time.
