There's some sharp headlines there, particularly the "sex Slave" story and strangely "Mountain renamed" story.
Although this last one does not go in the direction I expected. Despite the headline the article gives no reason for the comedic name. Hmm.
Also, for some reason I don't like the partitioning between your "People in the news" section and the main articles. I think you need more 'gutter', the white space between the two sections.
Oh, and I've notticed that the whole site is one big image (jpg). This works well in many cases (eg my personal favourite framley examiner) but the way it is now will not generate massive reader hits. a jpg is impossible to cut and paste (handy for the viral email style satire) and is also unsearchable. I also think that the quality of the jpg is low in places, the sex slave article is slightly blurred, whereas others seem fine.
But anyway, I like the satirical name and am looking forward to issue 2!

Yeah it's all good, if a bit wide. Anyone running 1024 x 768 (which is over 75% of surfers) or smaller is gonna find it a bit of a PITA tho. I'd downsize it a bit.
