oh man!
i haven't been a big manga fan since "starblazers" and "marine boy",but i do love aika!
i heard last week that there was a new series coming out.
i've got the first series on vhs and i still need to get "r-16:virgin mission".
i really can't wait until this new series is released in english.

I think Aika r-16 is a bit disappointing. The best of the best is without any doubt the original series and the real action movie.

So, can anyone explain to me what happens, exactly, in this episode? I know the point really isn't to question the plot here, but it's bothering me to no end. Is that girl killing those girls, or just knocking them out, and to what end? If somebody can understand what's going on or have an understanding to answer these questions, I'd appreciate it.

aika really never kills anybody in any of the series.
there's alot of catfights and alot of knock outs in those fights.
also,the peaple who made these shows clearly have some sort of "panty" fetish.(not that there's anything wrong with that)
in thise scene,i can only guess,that aika and her friend knock out the bad girls and switch clothes with them.

I guess it's some kind of alien stuff that changes personality.
At the beginning of the episode, something falls from the outer space (probably that weird light rope). If you pay attention, the girl with the violet hair of the first scene (the first girl who is "penetrated" by the light rope) is the leader of the white dressed girls in the next secenes (obviously, the alien has changed her personality into evil).
