Come, be idol!
Hello children of Uplift!
OK, I shall be doing a wee featurette for the next edition about the importance of idols...
For this I'll be writing about my own experiences- How Kathleen Hanna and my mother have got me through the most difficult of times in the past five or six years of my life and how I believe what both have taught me through the way they have lived their lives could get me through anything.
BUT... I want a few interviews, other peoples stories... maybe someone has an idol who, like me has changed their lives or maybe you don't believe in idols, perhaps you think it's merely people worship and unnecessary, maybe you're religious and you think that's all you need to get you through.
Whatever your story or experience I'd really love to hear it, so post my lovelies, post!

Courtney Love baby.
The sides of my personality which battle continuously, and cause me to act schitzo and strange, are the Courtney Love side (who gives a f*ck) and my Mark from Peep Show side (must stick within my weekly shopping budget... etc).
What kind of response are you looking for? WHY someone is an idol? What affect they've had?

Mainly what, if any, effect its had on your life, why you think you feel the need to have one and if having someone to look up to or base your life and reactions on has helped you cope with any difficult moments in your life. How?
