Hello all!

I've been away from here for a while so to get you caught up on what I've been doing:

preaching and applying for the position of pastor at several churches.

Computer repairs (XP & Vista emoticon ) and computer operation (Apple Macintosh emoticon ) .

Amateur Radio operation (upgraded to Amateur Extra)

Getting my asthma under control using the Martial Art To-Shin Do by An-shu Stephen K. Hayes .

I see a lot of new faces here and some familiar faces. Hello to Commander Sexton and Captain Roop!

Hey Dan thanks for signing up, hope you decide to come back aboard.
I know we had you in the first story and also in the second story. Not sure of the others. Although the first story never got totally done. it was called; "Of a Distant Light"
The Second story is called "Heart of the Stars" and it is viewable on line. Another one we need to get put up that is done is "Sword in the Mirror."
In any case as I was saying I am not sure we just had you sort of always hanging around or if we mentioned that you had to go back to starfleet for a tour of duty for awhile.

In either case I am sure we can get you back into place. Let me know how you feel about things.

Good to hear you've stayed with the Lord, Dan!! And I can vouch for the Martial Arts, I was in it for quite some time and learned from Tim Tacket (JKD) in California, so you and I have gotten more skills and topics that are in common now.

As for wiring for HAM, it's suppose to be wireLESS emoticon ! Yep, it's bad to leave the starbase with no communications capability, you're just asking for an enemy ambush.

I was looking on the main USS Grandeur-A web site and was talking with Capt. Roop on the "Sword of Avalon" newsletter. I don't know yet as to if I could fully take over but if you would like to get one out I could have you send me the graphics for the newsletter and I could get it together in PDF format to put to the main web site.

I'm just a white belt at the moment on To-Shin Do, I'm doing their long distance training program. The closest dojo for me is in Dayton, Ohio (about a 2.5 hr drive).

I'm looking at re-joining the IFT. emoticon

As for skills and topics in common you still have me beat on drawing. I'm on 2 other types of forums and all of them have where you can have an "avatar". That's new to me. Can you please give me some info on them.

On staying with the Lord, it's more Him holding on and never letting me go. I've been able to preach at several churches and I have an appointment to preach at a local campground in Loudonville, Ohio on July 27th.

Don't want to get to far off of themain topic here but as far as the news letter goes even though they use to be quarterly I suppose we could have them done bi-annually if that would help you in your decision Dan to undertake the news letter project on.

The newsletter techinally falls under communications but Darren has done them in the past as we have not had anybody with the skills, knowledge, layout and particular software progams to put it together. We would love for you to do that for us. Thanks for offering to at least get one going temporary, if this could be a full time thing that would be great.
And as mentioned if need be it could be bi-annual if quarterly would be a bit much. Something to think about.

 emoticon AGREED!! Take it, Dan. Please, please... I just don't have the time to commit to doing the SOA Newsletter right now, or in the forseeable future. I am trying to keep several artists happy/busy/supplied on projects now, so... HAVE AT IT. Just do up a starter (cover and first page say) and send it on as a pdf and Larry and I will see what your made of.
