The USS Grandeur-A Project: Who's Who?

As the project has gone on now for over the past three years, I feel we need to know who it is who has contributed and made this effort a formidable one. I will add members and their pictures, as well as some of their credits, right here in this thread as I can so that everyone visiting knows who's who.

The Grandeur-A Senior Staff...

Being that the whole thing was started by the IFT Chapter, USS Grandeur, the senior staff have the final say in what is to represent our ship. For the sake of this thread, here's the run down:

Project Leader: Darren R. Sexton

Image

Hails From:
 - The glorious south, Tennessee
Project Term:
 - From the begining to current
Contributions:
 - I don't like to toot my own horn, but for the sake of this project and fleshing it all out... I have been the designer for anything related to Grandeur from the get go, over twelve years ago now.

I designed the 2D views, pixel-by-pixel, that got Jason'VEKTOR'Lee's attention and interest in modelling the ship, not only as a challenge for his already formidable skill, but also for the design elements that were present that really represented the flow of the Trek universe well. This is the one that started it...

Project Consultant 1: Larry Roop

Image

Hails From:
 - The north, Ohio
Project Term:
 - From the begining to current
Contributions:
 - Well, he's the Captain of the ship/chapter (and is the initial founder of it 12 yrs ago) He has a great vision as a writer in the Trek universe. We all appreciate Larry and we understand he preetty much has as much say as anyone on the project.

Project Consultant 2: J. Lane Deaver

Image

Hails From:
 - Another south-paw, North Carolina
Project Term:
 - From the begining to current
Contributions:
 - Another respected, long time friend, and senior officer of the ship/chapter. Lane is a great guy and also has a great vision as a writer in the Trek universe. He has a lot of smarts about the weapons side of things and we really appreciate Lane when he has a point to add.

Head Of CGI

Project Head of CGI: Jason Lee

Image

Hails From:
 - Washington
Project Term:
 - From the begining to current
Contributions:
 - We really respect, appreciate, and honor Vektor, not only as an artist, photographer, graphic designer, 3D modeler and animator, among other things, but also as a level-headed, intelligent, well-rounded kinda guy. We fully trust his judgement and knowledge about the engineering of Trek era vessels and other things and always consult with him for other CGI contributions to the project. We have spent countless hours hashing over this or that change, what would be better, and what just wouldn't quite work, so we've been through some times. But he has dedicated himself to this project and is a good, honest, and thoughtful guy. We are proud of his accomplishments and wish him a bright future!

CGI Interior Designer '06-'08

Project Interior Designer: Jay Seals

Image

Hails From:
 - Yet another southerner, Texas
Project Term:
 - From early 2006 to March 2008
Contributions:
 - We really appreciate Jay. He came on to take over the Bridge module interior CGI after Sean R. stepped down in late 2005. He took what Sean did, tweeked it, added to it, and then started to redesign it. But time and life circumstances caught up with him and he had to also hand off the batan.

Interior Design Consultant

Project Design Consultant: Sean Robertson

Image

Hails From:
 - Washington, DC
Project Term:
 - From 2003 to 2006
Contributions:
 - Thanks to Sean, we had a new direction for our bridge. With all that he has going in politics and interior/archetectural design, we certainly appreciate any words of wisdom or anything else, for that matter! We listen to Sean when it comes to this kinda stuff, and though we don't always agree, we value his input.

CGI Designer: Starbase-131

CGI Designer for Starbase-131: Andrew Comb

Image

Hails From:
 - Wellfield, England
Project Term:
 - Off and on since 2004
Contributions:
 - Andrew, or Tobain to SFM hoppers, is an accomplished 3D Artist. He has a degree in Interior architecture and design and follows modern design, drawing in from many influences.

He began the "Never-ending Pluto Station" thread at SFM over three years ago and I spoke to him several times about using the model as the repair facility that Grandeur-A would be parked at for the upgrade. He agreed and actually came on staff for a year as our interm Engineer, but station work escillated so he had to go back to full time service on the station.
