Have been on our quad a lot, so building up the courage to ride one again.
What sort of quad is it? Its not a Yamaha Banshee is it? They are evil (in a good way)!

I want a scooter! John do I need to pass a test to ride a scooter in the UK?
Your bike is magnificent, not that I know anything about bikes
Thanks!
Well it depends on how big a scooter and when you passed your car test - if the scooter is 50cc or less you can ride it on L plates if you passed your test before a certain date, maybe 2001? I'd have to look it up. Anyway, I wouldn't advise you to do that, regardless of whether or not you're allowed to ride, you really need to take some basic training called 'CBT'. It is a day-long course which you can't fail. After taking that I think you can ride moreorless any scooter on L plates if you are over 21, or upto 125cc if you are 17-20 years old.
Google CBT + training + UK you should get some hits. DVLA website will help also
Good luck!
