Make extra stitchy time! Delegate!
Assign one or more minimum chores to each family member. Every family member has a stake in keeping the household functioning, so everyone should be expected to help with the chores. Working together, everyone will be free for warm-weather fun in record time.

I do most things, but it only seems fair as Ian earns all the money - looking after the house is my contribution to the household.
But when I worked, we shared the jobs pretty equally, and if I'm ill or whatever, Ian is quite capable of taking over. He still does most of the DIY, though - I'm not too good with power tools. But I do most of the decorating - I enjoy that 
The boys do a few jobs, and we will get them to do more as they get older.
