when i want to reply to someones post it won't let me i have to post a new message and its driving me mad!

you know on the left handside of the post it says reply quote, well when i used to click on reply you could add your reply directly into the message that was originally posted now it just lets me put another message underneath it... do i have to click on quote instead? shall have a go and see what happens
