Karma?

I'm guessing that this Karma thingy next to our names is to do with the "applaud" and "smite" buttons at the bottom of each post. But do we get to find out who applauded or smote(smited?) us? Or at least which post they liked or didn't like?

Just curious emoticon

Re: Karma?

you can't tell who or why unless they tell you they've done it Jackie

We're applauders by stealth here LOL Vicki managed to get a negative from an idiot 12 year old who came and said hello and then got banned

I think the rules are you can applaud someone only once every 24 hours...

even though we keep the numbers (they are switch offable I believe) we don't really use it that much emoticon

Oh thanks, I was just being curious (as usual). It seems a bit pointless if you don't know at least which posts were applauded - I can see why it isn't used much.

I was involved in one forum once where you could leave little messages as well as +ve and -ve "points" - that was badly mis-used and people got very upset when a few idiots left very offensive (and anonymous) comments.

I wasn't saying that I think it's a bad thing, Vicki, just that it's not much use if you don't know which posts you are being applauded (or otherwise) for. I can see why you mostly ignore it emoticon

Ah, well, if it's for applauding and smiting people in general, then maybe I should be doing some ...
